We're organizing a "Free Agent" men's softball
league in the city of San Mateo. The league is open to
all players (or small groups up to four people) who are
looking for a league to play in.
Myself, Dan
Hibson (the San Mateo Athletics Director) and the other team
managers will select the teams.
The season
begins on Tuesday, July 22nd with gametimes of 6:30, 7:30 &
8:30. We will be organizing a minimum of 4 teams and
up to 6 (if there is enough interest). All games will
be on Tuesday evenings.
Each
team will consist of 12 players; San Mateo league fee is
$750 a team, so each player will be paying $62.50. San
Mateo provides a 10 game schedule, 2 umpires, statistics &
standings published at
bayareastats.com and playoffs for the top four
finishers. We are looking for individuals
interested in managing one of the teams, please let me know
if you'd like to manage in addition to playing.
Since we aren't having tryouts, each player will be asked to
fill out the short questionnaire below so that we can
properly separate the teams.
