  7:30 PM Dewy Ducks 8 Goetz Brothers Sporting Goods 20 Dewy Ducks held their own for the first 5 but 10 runs by Goetz Bros. in the 6th too much to overcome. Goetz Bros. brought their hot bats with Marc (Rocky) Goetz (3 RBI & HR) and Jeff Jones both going 3/3, 3/4's from Bob ( Do I have to play defense?) Fanucchi and Bob Budelli plus 4 RBI's each from Jason Martin and Brian James. The top 4 hitters: Ken Powell, Jared Ames, Sean Arlac and Jeff Bowman all went 2/3 for Dewy Ducks.
  8:30 PM Buckdeer 24 Saddle Room Dirty Lou's 17 After giving up 12 runs in the third, Buckdeer came back with 12 of their own and then outscored Saddle Room Dirty Lou's in the 5th and 6th to take this one. Chad Cattaneo 5/5 (2 HR's), Cory Cattaneo 4/4 (1 HR 6 rbi's), Steve Rafello 4/4 (HR) led Buckdeer while Dan Chu 4/4 (2 HR's), Chris Gomez 3/4 (HR) and Shawn Wettland (HR) was the offense for the Dirty Lou's

Tue 1-22-08 6:30 PM Bushwhackers 18 Clooney's Pub 23 After leading 14 to 1 after 2 innings and giving up the lead after 3, Clooney's Pub scored 9 in the 6th and 7th to take this one. Eric Westmoreland led the foam boys going 4/4 with 2 HR's (7 RBI's) along with a HR from Danny Hedden and a 3/3 from Jason Hagemann. Ryan Worthington led Bushwackers with a 4/4 (2HR's, 5 RBI's) along with a 3/3 from Jono (Skateboard Park) Stoval (HR).
  7:30 PM Buckdeer 19 Goetz Brothers Sporting Goods 22 Even though Brian James kept his double digit ERA going, Goetz Bros. kept the pressure on and pulled this one out by scoring 8 in the 5th and blanking Buckdeer in the 7th. David Smiley and Brad Cook were the big guns for Goetz Bros., both going 5/5 along with home runs from Jason Martin, Bob Fanucchi and Brad Cook. Catcher Tony Risso went 4/5 (HR) along with HR's from Chad Cattaneo, Mark Kerr and Steve Rafello for Buckdeer.
  8:30 PM Saddle Room Dirty Lou's 18 California Grown 6 5 Home Runs but not enough base hits to get the job done for California Grown while Saddle Room Dirty Lou's pounded out 23 hits to take this one in 6. Danny Chu went perfect 5/5 along with 3/4 for Tony Perazzo to lead the Dirty Lou's. HR's from Mondo Reygoza, Kevin Anderson 2/3, Jim Lindt, Chad Barger and Jerry (Ivan) Claire led California Grown.

Tue 1-29-08 6:30 PM Clooney's Pub 7 California Grown 28 California Grown started out early and never let up to put this one away in 5. Loren Walsh and Jerry Claire were perfect going 4/4, Jim Lindt hit for the cycle in going 4/5, James (Angry young man) Carrig went 3/4 with 3 RBI's and HR's by Dave Hafokin (4 RBI's), Loren Walsh and Chad Barger (5 RBI's) to lead the attach for California Grown. 2/2 for Chris DeCarpio (HR) along with 2/3's from Steve Skinner, Eric Westmoreland and Rob Rowland was the offense for Clooney's.
  7:30 PM Dewy Ducks 24 Saddle Room Dirty Lou's 33 You would think that 5/6 from Chris Gomez (3 HR's 7 RBI's), 4/6 from Jordan Field 4/6 (HR), 5/5 (HR 6 RBI's) from Tony Perazzo, Tom Jones 4/5, Hector G 5/6 6 RBI's, 4/5 from Eric Newby and 4/5 from Sean Wettland would be enough for Saddle Room Dirty Lou's to end this in 5 but a stubborn Dewy Ducks made them play the time limit. Dewy Ducks were led by Jared Ames 4/5 2HR 5 RBI's, Jeff Bowman 5/5 2 HR's, Kyle Burbank 4/5 HR 4 RBI's and 2 HR's from Keith Marin.
  8:30 PM Bushwhackers 19 Buckdeer 13 3/4's from Jono Stoval 4 RBI's, Tyler Burr HR, Mike Faulkner HR and Coltan Daines led the Bushwhackers to their first victory of the season. 4/4 from Chad Cattaneo along with Grand Slam HR's by Dom Pucci and John Peavler in the same inning just wasn't enough to overcome the big lead.

Tue 2-5-08 6:30 PM California Grown 24 Goetz Brothers Sporting Goods 12 Scoring in every inning and some defensive help from Goetz Bros. put this one in California Grown's pocket in 6. James Carrig led the way for California Grown going 3/4 with a wind aided HR along with 3/4's from Mondo Reygoza and Kenny Smith and HR's from Kevin Anderson and Loren Walsh. For Goetz Bros. Sporting Goods, it was 3/3 from B-R-I-A-N James along with 3/4 from Rich Holm, 2/3's from Marc Goetz, Bob Fanucchi HR, Brad Cook HR and Brian Carter.
  7:30 PM Saddle Room Dirty Lou's 8 Clooney's Pub 20 A big dozen runs in the fifth inning put this one away for Clooney's Pub. Chris Pasco went 4/4, 3/3 for Jeremy Whiteman, 3/4's for Ryan Peterson HR, Bryce Hall, Jason Hagemann and Chris DeCarpio led the way for Clooney's while the bright spot for Saddle Room was 2/2 for Russ (Buy another sweatshirt) Helfrich (HR) and 2/3's from Tom Jones and Chris Gomez (2 HR's).
  8:30 PM Buckdeer 27 Dewy Ducks 20 2 big innings was the story of this game when Buckdeer scored 10 in the first and 11 in the fifth. Big night from Chad Cattaneo going 4/5 with 3 HR's & 8 RBI's for Buckdeer along with 3/4 from Corey Cattaneo, 3/4 from Steve Rafello HR, 3/4 from John Peavler HR and a HR from Dom Pucci. Adam Hazel went 4/5 with a HR and 5 RBI's along with a 4/5 from Kyle Burbank and 3/5's from Jeff (I didn't make the Basketball Playoffs) Bowman, Ken Powell HR, and Matt McGrew for Dewy Ducks.

Tue 2-12-08 6:30 PM Goetz Brothers Sporting Goods 18 Saddle Room Dirty Lou's 23 Saddle Room Dirty Lou's scored 14 in the fourth and 8 in the fifth to make it look like this one might end in 5. Goetz Bros. needed 5 runs to go another inning but instead, put the pressure on Saddle Room by scoring 11. It was a great game to watch. Tony Perazzo led the way for the Dirty Lou's going 4/5 along with a 3/4 from Sean Wettland, and a HR from Russ ( Someone get me a Pinch Runner) Helfrich. Big for Goetz Bros. was 4/4 from Brian James, 3/4 from Bob (I did play some defense) Fanucchi .
  7:30 PM Clooney's Pub 19 Buckdeer 18 This game was a barn burner as the lead changed hands 5 times with the nod going to Clooney's Pub when they shut out Buckdeer in the seventh and then scored 4 in their half for the win. For Clooney's Pub, Bryce Hall went 4/4, 3/4's from Eric Westmoreland & Steve Skinner plus a HR from Jason Hagemann. Dom Pucci went 4/5, Grand Slam HR for John Peavler and 2 HR's from Chad Cattaneo led Buckdeer.
  8:30 PM Dewy Ducks 16 Bushwhackers 23 Dewy Ducks remained winless but always manages to give their opponents a good game.The Bushwhackers put up big numbers early and then held on for the victory. Nick Rewak led the way for Buchwhackers going 4/6 along with 2/3's from Chris Harvey and Duncan Burr and a HR from Colton Daines. For Dewy Ducks, it was a perfect night for Keith Marin going 4/4, 4/5 for Kyle Burbank HR, 4/5 for Ken Powell and a HR from Manager Jared Ames.

Tue 2-19-08 6:30 PM Saddle Room Dirty Lou's 16 Bushwhackers 33 13 was a lucky number for Bushwhackers as they put up 13 runs in the first inning and then never let up by scoring in all of the 5 innings played. Bushwhackers was led by Nick Rewak 5/5, 4/4's for Chris Harvey & Adam Howard, 4/5's with HR's (6 rbi's) for both Jono (Skateboard Park) Stoval and Mike Faulkner, and 5/5 for Colton Daines (HR). Saddle Room Dirty Lou's were led by 3/3's by Eric (Station to Station) Newby & Chris Gomez and Hr's from AJ (Dagwood) Bromstead and Sean Wettland.

Tue 2-26-08 6:30 PM California Grown 10 Buckdeer 8 Led by 3/3's from Jimmy (Navel) Lindt HR & Casey (Please change the Coed balls) Scatena plus a HR from Mondo Reygoza, California Grown knocked out Buckdeer from a possible playoff spot. For Buckdeer, it was Cory Cattaneo going 3/3 along with 2/3's from Mark (Mad Dog) Kerr and Steve Rafello.
  7:30 PM Goetz Brothers Sporting Goods 14 Bushwhackers 7 Goetz Bros. slowed down the hot Bushwhackers by scoring early and holding on with fine defense. Hr's from Brian James, Jason Martin 3/3, Brad Cook 3/3 and a 3/3 from Dave Smiley led Goetz Bros. Sporting Goods while 2/3's from Mike Faulkner & Ryan Kelly plus a HR from Nick Rewak led Bushwhackers in a losing cause.
  8:30 PM Clooney's Pub 16 Dewy Ducks 8 Clooney's Pub clinched a playoff spot with a victory over Dewy Ducks. Chris Pasco went 3/4 with 2 HR's, 3/4's from Ryan Peterson with a HR and a HR from Jason Hagemann led Clooney's while Mark Sutherland was put on the waiver wire for 2 catchers and a fourth grader. HR's from Blake Nino & Jared Ames along with 3/4 from Keith Marin and 3/3 plus a HR from Jeff (0 wins in Redwood City for 2008) Bowman led Dewy Ducks in a losing cause.

Tue 3-4-08 6:30 PM California Grown 16 Dewy Ducks 4 California Grown remained the top seed for the playoffs with this win and in doing so, kept Dewy Ducks winless. Hr's from Jed Beyer, Jim Lindt (2), Jerry (Ivan) Claire and Ryan Worthington (A Grand Slam) plus 3/4's from Kenny Smith & Jim Lindt did the trick for California Grown. For Dewy Ducks, it was 2/2 for Matt Megrew (HR).
  7:30 PM Goetz Brothers Sporting Goods 11 Clooney's Pub 10 This game ended up being a defensive battle. Chris DeCarpio tied it up in the seventh with a HR only to have Goetz Bros. score 1 in the bottom of the inning for the win. 3/4 for Marc Goetz, 2/4's for Tim (Hannabal Lechter) Bowler, Rich Holm, Brad Cook, Brian James , & Mike Simon plus a HR from Mgr. Brent Goetz led Goetz Bros. Sporting Goods. HR's by Ryan Petersen, Chris Pasco and Chris DeCarpio not enough for Clooney's Pub.
