DROZ'S MYSTERIOUS
FRIEND
For those of you
asking who that was helping out Droz on HEAT over the

that was indy worker

Memphis Power
Pro feuding with
Michael "Dok Hendrix" Hayes who beat him for the strap.

WWF & THE PUBLIC ENEMY
PART WAYS
There are a lot of
reports about several wrestlers receiving their termination
notices from the WWF
at the latest set of tapings. The only casualty announced
so far is The Public
Enemy. While there is more to come, these are the only
known "casualties" so
far...

STING & THE UNDERTAKER
Submitted by reader:
KFITZPATI
One thing I will give
both the WWF and WCW after watching this week's shows
is this: both
federations are not going to be afraid to throw out the
gauntlet
with two wrestlers who
have been the talk of the newsletter these days: the Crow
and the Dead Druid.
Oh, I mean Sting and Undertaker.
Now I don't know if
this is good or bad- judging by the fact these two have been
around for years and
the fact that both have been pretty damn loyal compared to
most in the sport
(Sting has over a decade with WCW; Taker went from being a
midcard tag team
wrestler to a WWF cult hero when he was in his prime-or at
least compared to now-
in the early 90's) when it comes to their employers. But
just as I grew tired
of seeing Sting not speak for a year, then do his Brandon
Lee imitation, then
look VERY subpar in his WCW title reign (no disrespect, sons
of Sting, but I think
most readers here will agree that his bouts in the late
80's with Flair were
the stuff of legend), then become a mic-hogging crony of
Nash, and...well, as
the reader correctly put last issue, its old Crow coming
to save the WCW.
What I will give
Bischoff is this- he has decided (whether Bordon likes it or
not) that the Crow is
alive, the trump card of trump cards and is going to be in
the midst of WCW
storylines. So is Page- and I have to agree that it looks
like
a nice little setup
for Page to take the title then lose a month later to Nash
when Nash is booking
these days. As for the Dead Druid- well, again McMahon has
decided to go full
speed ahead with the "who's sacrificed tonight" routine-and
again I look it at as
his way of 1) keeping the Brood (a group that has been
"over") in the thick
of the storylines and 2) setting up something alot of folks
haven't been used to
since late 1991- the Undertaker as EVIL, not taking on a
700 pound "Japanese"
wrestler or beating every "big man" in the WWF at
Wrestlemania.
Will both of these
work? Only time will tell, but as much as I personally
dislike them, I know
I'll handle watching both of them instead of listening to
Al Michaels give Bill
Parcells lectures throughout this year..........

STING'S GIMMICK
Submitted by reader:
MRCack17
After reading all the
opinions on Sting's gimmick and then seeing him back in
action, I have to
voice my opinion. I will admit when I first found out he was
going back to the old
Crow gimmick, I had mixed emotions. I was glad he wasn't
going to be red and
black, I wouldn't have minded the old blonde Sting, but I
was hoping WCW could
conjure up a new and
exciting gimmick. Well, needless to say I did not form a
solid stand until I
could see how the worked him and how he worked himself.
Now, when he first
showed up and just hung in the rafters, and even when he
made
his "announcement" on
Nitro, I was not impressed, it seemed like a bad case of
Deja vu. Then, there
was the match at Spring Stampede. Well, he definitely
didn't lose a step,
his ring presence, or his ability to go over with the fans.
But, my mind was made
up last night after Nitro. Sting has not lost his mic
working ability, and
in my opinion he has gained an "edge" that makes him even
more exciting.
Watching him get in Flair's face and hearing that almost
demonic
laugh, has showed that
Sting is as good as he was when he won his first WCW
Heavyweight Title, if
not in my opinion, better.

-New Dimension
Wrestling will be beginning monthly television tapings the
first
Saturday of every
month in Thomasville, NC, beginning June 5th, at the
National
Guard Armory. The
armory in
Thomasville, NC will be known
from now on as the
NDW Arena. The company
plans to tape four shows in one night for the following
month television
shows. New Dimension Wrestling will also be granted having
exclusive rights on
the building as the only wrestling promotion to run
wrestling shows at the
armory. These exclusive rights will keep out other
"mark/jabroni" phantom
wrestling promotions from riding the coat tails of New
Dimension Wrestling.
-NDW Security Guard
Big Tony was scheduled to work security this past Saturday
night in
Cana, Virginia. Robinson
informed New Dimension Wrestling on Saturday
morning that he could
not make the show after he was beat up by two girls with
beer bottles the night
before at a
Greensboro, NC nightclub.
Robinson was taken
to the hospital and
received stitches in the right side of his face from broken
glass.
-Several wrestlers no
showed the New Dimension Wrestling show this past Saturday
night, it was
discovered by the company, the real reason the wrestlers no
showed
was because they were
too cheap to go out and get a current physical and pay the
appropriate licensing
fees in the state of Virginia to wrestle. The wrestlers
will not be wrestling
for NDW in the future.
-NDW
Wrestler/Equipment Manager Sergeant Max Rhodes has been
released from the
company due to
conflict of interest between himself and management. Rhodes
who
has been a loyal
employee for the past two years, developed internal conflict
with the company about
a month ago, several personal incidents led to his
release from New
Dimension Wrestling this past Sunday.
