HOGAN & GOLDBERG TO WORK
HOUSE SHOWS
Reported by Bob Ryder
at:
http://www.1Wrestling.com
Fans at this weekend's
WCW house shows will be seeing some unscheduled
appearances from Hulk
Hogan and Goldberg. Hogan will appear at the
Pensacola show on Friday and
the Tallahassee show on Saturday, and
Goldberg will appear
at the
Albany show on Sunday.
WCW has recently been
going all out in lining up some of their top
stars for the
previously neglected house show lineups. A very
professional move on
their part, and one that could pay dividends when
they return to the
town.
Psychosis GETS STRONG
REACTION UNMASKED
Reported by Dave
Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter
When Psychosis was
unmasked by Rey Mysterio Sr. in
Tijuana, he was
given an enthusiastic
response by the audience. Meltzer reports that
Psychosis has a cool
look unmasked, which will hopefully translate into
a WCW push.
GALLOP POLL
Reported by Bob Ryder
at:
http://www.1Wrestling.com
A recent
Gallup poll shows that 47% of
American's think it was
appropriate for Jesse
Ventura to have been involved in Summerslam,
compared to 43% who
thought it was not appropriate. When the poll was
limited to wrestling
fans,
Gallup found 73% said it was
appropriate.
The same poll found
that only 18% of those surveyed consider themselves
wrestling fans. Steve
Austin was picked as the favorite wrestler,
followed by Hulk
Hogan, Bill Goldberg, Sting, and The Rock.
HENNIG & DUNCAM OUT
WITH INJURIES
Reported by Al Isaccs
at:
http://www.scoopswrestling.com
Both Curt Hennig &
Bobby Duncam Jr. are out of action with knee
injuries, and Isaacs
reports that both men will need surgery. No word
on the amount of work
that will be missed; for Hennig, this could be a
terrific situation. He
could still get on TV and get his character
over, while at the
same time actually having an excuse to avoid jobbing
to guys like Goldberg…
