LENNY & LODI RETURNING
TO TELEVISION
Reported by Danny
Fisher & Sister Midnight at:
http://www.cataclysmal.com/big3/index.html
Vince Russo revealed
on the 10/18 Post-Nitro edition of WCW Live that
Lenny & Lodi will be
returning to TV on next weeks Nitro. According to
Russo their characters
will not be changed; the main purpose of the
characters is to
incite the audience to chant "faggot" at these heels.
While some would call
it a surefire way to guarantee heel heat, others
would call it a step
backwards and ammunition to paint wrestling fans
as ignorant rednecks.
You decide which one is correct.

WCW MONDAY NITRO
LIVE FROM:
PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA
By Rick Phelps (wrestleric)
Sid was shown arriving
at the arena with his legal team, who we would
see many times over
the course of the evening.
Juventud Guerrera Jr.
versus Evan Karagias
Bret Hart interrupted
this match, saying that he was told that he
could not get
interview time, so he would create his own time. Hart
said that he came to
WCW to fight Hulk Hogan and become the WCW
champion. He said that
he has been lied to and that "two new guys" show
up and the same old
politics are taking place again. Sting came out and
told Bret that
promises do not
come true "in this
business." Sting said that everyone has been
screwed and then
offered the Hitman a title shot.
Winner: No Contest
Disco Inferno(c)
versus Vampiro *Cruiserweight Championship*
Disco's opponent for
Halloween Havoc, Lash Leroux joined the
broadcast position for
this match. Disco retained the title after the
"Last Dance" and was
then attacked by Leroux and left lying.
Winner: Disco Inferno
via pinfall (Retains Cruiserweight Title)
--Goldberg told Larry
Zybysko that he did not like or trust Sid, and
that Sunday, he will
become the
U.S. champ.
--The Man in the
Window (Dustin Runnels) once again told everyone to
fear him and to stop
him if they can.
--Madusa told Mike
Tenay that she did not want to be a part of an
evening gown match,
because she is a professional champion, not someone
who is trying to make
their way to the top quickly.
--New Nitro girl semi
finalists were introduced. Buff Bagwell then came
out and said that the
"two new sheriffs in town" thought that he was
the future and he
would take WCW back to the promise land.
--Mona told Zybysko
that she would do whatever it takes to win the
evening gown match
against Madusa. Kimberly was searching the arena for
David Flair.
Harlem Heat (c) versus
Konnan/Rey Mysterio Jr. *Tag Team
Championship*
While Booker T was
fighting with Kidman and Eddie Guerrero(who were at
the broadcast booth
with Torrie (only wearing a fur coat) K-Dogg and
"Rey Rey" put a double
team move on Stevie Ray to gain the straps for
the Filthy Animals.
Winner: Konnan/Rey
Mysterio Jr. via pinfall (New Tag Team Champions)
--Kimberly found David
Flair and told him that he was barking up the
wrong tree as far as
women are concerned. She said that DDP was out of
town, gave him her
hotel room key and asked him to join her tonight.
--As the Filthy
Animals were celebrating their victory the First
Family approached and
demanded a title shot at Halloween Havoc. Konnan
agreed, of course
after the celebration ended.
Meng versus Hugh
Morrus w/Jimmy Hart
Meng put the Laughing
Man down with the Tongan death grip. During this
match, Kevin Nash and
Scott Hall found their ways ringside.
Winner: Meng via
pinfall
--Sid Vicious and his
legal team made their way to the ring. Sid
said that since
Goldberg did touch him prior to Halloween Havoc, he
would not receive a
U.S. title shot. Goldberg
came out and speared one
of Sid's attorneys.
Vicious then powerbombed Goldberg. When Goldberg
left the ring, he got
into a fight with Hall and Nash which had to
broken up by security.
Goldberg then
stomped around the
back looking for Sid, beating up the Insane Clown
Possee on the way
while the Outsiders snuck back in the building (while
Nash drank cough
syrup.)
--As Mike Tenay was
interviewing Bret Hart in the locker room, Sting
attacked the Hitman
and a fight ensued between the two.
Berlyn versus Rick
Steiner
Berlyn took the match
with a DQ when Brad Armstrong interfered. An
angry
DFG then beat Armstrong all
the way to the back.
Winner: Berlyn via
disqualification
--Kimberly went back
to her hotel room, disrobed (wearing skimpy
bikini) and poured two
glasses of champagne and pulled some sleeping
pills out of her
purse. To her surprise, David Flair was not there, but
the Nature Boy was.
Space Mountain told her that
she was going to get
the 14 time spanking
that her daddy should have given her long ago.
--In the back, a
visibly shaken Total Package stuttered that he was
not afraid of Goldberg
or his rage.
David Flair versus
Kidman w/Torrie
Torrie distracted
young Flair by revealing the lingerie that she was
wearing under the fur
coat, which allowed Kidman to win the match with
the shooting star
press. After the bell, the Filthy Animals repeatedly
whipped on Flair.
Winner: Kidman via
pinfall
--The Outsider
continued to search the arena for Goldberg . They even
attempted wearing
masks and pretending to be luchadores. Nash, who had
been sick all night,
threw up at the feet of one of the WCW security
members. Ric Flair
made his way back from the hotel to the arena.
Mona versus Madusa
*New York Evening Gown Match*
As Madusa said, she
did not wear an evening gown, she wore a one piece
dress that extended
above the knees. The referee was knocked out, so a
winner was never
officially declared. However, Mona did rip the
skirt/dress off of
Madusa. An angry Madusa told whoever came up with
the match, could kiss
her a$$.
Winner: None
Officially Declared
Sting (c) versus Bret
Hart *World Heavyweight Championship*
Despite fighting off
an interfering Total Package temporarily, Hart was
still struck in the
shin with the baseball bat. Sting capitalized with
the scorpion deathlock
for the win.
Winner: Sting via
submission (Retains World Title)
--In the back, Ric
Flair was giving his sulking son David (who was not
in the locker room
with the other boys) the third degree, wanting to
know where Torrie was.
After the Nature Boy heard from his son that the
Filthy Animals jumped
him, an irate Flair told his son that they had
work to do.
Buff Bagwell versus La
Parka
This match was as a
result of Bagwell walking out of the tag team
match where he was
teamed with La Parka on Thunder. Oddly, Buff came to
the ring, not posing,
strutting, or smiling, and seemed to be disgusted
to be in the ring.
Bagwell invited La Parka to kick him in the back of
the head. La Parka
obliged and then pinned Bagwell, as many of the
young talent on the
WCW roster
in the back
celebrated. Bagwell then grabbed a headset from the
broadcast booth and
asked Vince Russo who else he could send down to
beat him, and even
invited Russo himself to do so. A returning Jeff
Jarrett then entered
the ring and broke a guitar over the head of
Bagwell.
Winner: La Parka via
pinfall
Eddie Guerreroversus
Chavo Guerrero Jr. versus Perry Saturn
Shane Douglas joined
the broadcast booth for this match. Eddie
Guerrero eliminated
Saturn with a frog splash, but Chavo Jr. took the
match by nailing the
tornado DDT on Uncle Eddie . The Filthy Animals,
who were in the face
of Shane Douglas during the match, attacked Chavo
Jr. after the bell.
Winner: Chavo Guerrero
Jr. via pinfall
Norman Smiley versus
Horace Hogan
The Big Wiggle won
this hardcore match by pinfall when Horace
accidentally knocked
himself loopy with a steel chair.
Winner: Norman Smiley
via pinfall
--Ric Flair said his
name was synonymous with reality. The Nature Boy
said David would
become great ON HIS OWN. Flair then challenged the
Filthy Animals to
bring it on. The Animals came out, attacked Ric and
David, and then took
Flair's clothes, money, and jewelry.
--The Total Package
entered
Elizabeth's dressing room, to
find her
unconscious, with a
guitar lying by her head.
Goldberg versus The
Total Package
Nash laid at the top
of the ramp sick during this match, while Hall
drank cough syrup.
Sting made his way down and cracked Goldberg with
the bat. Bret Hart,
hobbling, retrieved the bat and nailed the world
champion several times
before breaking the bat against the ring post.
(He was aiming at
Sting's head). Back in the ring, Goldberg speared the
Package, who was
attempting to put Hart in the torture rack. A
jackhammer later it
was over with
Goldberg and Hart
embracing.
Winner: Goldberg via
pinfall

THE HOGAN
WORK
Written by Richard
Lopez (RIZZDAWG)
Any word on where
Hogan was during Nitro? If his giving notice is
really a work, it was
odd that the announce team did not even
mention his name once
during the show.
Big improvement with
the pace of the show, but still a long way to go.
What was up with The
Outsiders angle? Is Nash supposed to be an
alcoholic now? Cough
medicine? Stupid angle.
++++++++++++++++++++++++
Steve Appy
responds:
Richard,
Hogan's name was
mentioned, though his absence the Nitro before
Halloween Havoc was
puzzling. It seems that WCW is more interested in
working the 600,000 or
so wrestling internet surfers than build
interest in their next
PPV. While I enjoyed last nights show, it
didn't do anything to
encourage buys for Havok.

DEATH AS AN ANGLE
Written by reader:
EBONY916
GET WELL SOON TAKER! WE MISS
YOU!
Now as far as the WWF
and their angles go, they have had some really
bad and really
disgusting ones. I will honestly say that the one with
Paul Wight having a
terminally ill father and the Bossman hiring
someone to tell The
Show that his father had passed is without a doubt
the most appalling
angle I have ever seen! This is worse than when WCW
had Flair faking a
heart
attack. Does the WWF
not yet understand the concept of death? Do they
not understand that
death is final and not something to be played with?
You would think that
after all the controversy the WWF has been through
this year alone that a
death angle would be the absolute last type of
angle they would come
up with. The WWF has a good product going right
now, they need to just
stick with it. They have enough good storylines
and angles to
counteract the few bad ones that they have going
(GODFATHER).
