(Ahmed Johnson wrestled with
charisma. His reckless abandon and
raw power may not have
endeared him to fellow wrestlers, but the
fans loved it. During his
brief years in the WWF, the fans bought
in to his character, into his
attitude, and that's what led to him
earning the IC title only
months into joining the federation.
Hampered by injuries, even
near the end of his stay he was earning
huge pops and bringing the
crowd to its feet).

(Owen gets a vote here
because, as the topic says, he employs
high-flying (which he's done
for fifteen years) as part of his
repertoire, not the sole
saving grace of an otherwise crappy
performance. Vader gets a
mention because he does moves, such as
the Frogsplash and Moonsault,
that few in the world can do - and
for a 450 lber in his 40's,
that's just incredible. My hat is off
to him. He could rest on his
brawling ability, but he doesn't - he
goes the extra mile).

devious heel like Flair. They don't

away. Plus, he was the
perfect heel to make Austin a huge face),
Hulk Hogan, Vader, Earthquake

an entire nation to write
get-well cards to Hulk Hogan is a true
heel. I almost cried when he
put Hogan out on the Brother Love show!
Blake Norton, The Bagpipe
Report
Bret Hart, Ric Flair, Shane
Douglas, Hulk Hogan, Justin Credible,
(The Canada vs. America
storyline may have started as an offshoot
of Steve Austin turning
babyface, but Bret Hart made the fans
forget they were watching a
soap opera - forget they were watching
a show. On the streets and
even the internet, "smart" fans seemed
to forget that it was all an
angle. Half of it was because the
storyline touched a nerve,
and the basis of it was well-written,
well-built and simply made
sense. The other half? Bret Hart's
portrayal of not simply a
dastardly heel, but a real man who has
been pushed to the edge and
is acting out of real reason. It's said
that it's scariest when you
don't know your enemy's motivation. In
wrestling, it's easiest to
buy when you do. Shane Douglas managed
to be a cool heel and yet not
steal the face's heat in ECW, where
they set an incredible
precedent by having the top man in the
company not only a hated
heel, but a respected heel who worked hard
and worked hurt. Douglas is
in his element as a heel, which is where
he's spent most of his time -
and as runs as a full-face can contest,
that's where he belongs.

FLAIR CAN'T DRAW?
Written by reader: The Big
Schwag (TastyBear)
Bring Hulk Hogan back!!!!!
Ric Flair is done!!! What is this
guy smoking, too much crap?
Hogan, although still a draw, is
not the main man anymore.
Flair at least is still over
with the fans and can still take
bumps and put on a good show
for the fans. Unlike Hogan, who
can't even fall down right
anymore…
Just The way the Schwag sees
It…

NOT EVEN FLIES?
Written by reader: Joey (Jjmyers123)
Wow... Ric Flair can't draw
flies? Last time I watched a Nitro
with Ric Flair on it he got
the biggest pops of the night.
I can't help being a Hogan
mark and loving the old guys that I
grew up watching, but no one
can ever state that Flair can't
draw.
Maybe its a sad, sad day when
a company's biggest draw is a 50 year
old, but hell, the man can
perform and work the mike and he's willing
to put others over. There are
some legends in this sport that
hopefully won't go away until
they really are done: Mick Foley,
Ric Flair, Terry Funk....
tell me they can't draw flies...
